Monumental Cycling Works is a small, rider-owned operation built around one simple idea: the people selling, building, and servicing your bike should be the same people you see on the road and trail every weekend. We’re not a chain. We’re a shop.

Our Story

What started as a basement build program for friends and teammates grew into two full-service locations on opposite coasts. We design and assemble custom wheelsets, fit and build complete bikes for riders of every level, and obsess over the details — spoke tension, hub bearings, tubeless setup — that quietly make every ride better.

Craft & Process

Every wheel we build is hand-laced, hand-tensioned, and individually trued. Every complete bike gets a fit session, a torque-checked build, and a shakedown ride before it leaves the shop. We don’t ship boxes — we deliver bikes ready to ride.

The Team

Our staff is a mix of former racers, lifelong tinkerers, and certified mechanics. Most of us have been in the industry for over a decade, and all of us still ride. If you have a question, ask the person building your bike — chances are they’ve ridden the exact setup you’re considering.
