With tubular tires offering un-matched performance and reliability, competing at the highest level requires a primary and secondary set of wheels for every condition. At the elite level, Monumental Cycling Works wheels are the lightest on the starting grid. Our elite riders hand-picked these wheels to win the most important races. At the Comp level, our wheels are equivalent in weight and superior in performance to most expensive wheels that can be purchased commercially. Tubular rims are 28mm wide which is a perfect match for 33mm UCI compliant cyclocross wheels. Each rim features a depressed center channel which allows for adhesive material to be more evenly distributed along the rim bed. The tire mounting surface is carefully process controlled to assure uniform surface-roughness for optimal tire bonding. With the MCW recommended process for tire mounting and gluing, you can expect multiple seasons of use from a single mounting of your tubular tires. At the competition level, Monumental Cycling Works offers tubeless, clincher style rims for those racers who choose the flexibility of quick tire changes.
